If the first four statistics in this list show how many people turn to Google when searching for their next big purchase, then this one outlines how important it is that you are ranking well for your key terms. Over 91% of website traffic generated by Google is shared by the websites that appear on page one of the engine’s search results pages.

Therefore, if you supply used Ford cars in Surrey, and you aren’t appearing on page one of Google’s search results for terms surrounding those keywords (‘Used’, ‘Ford’, ‘Surrey’, ‘For sale’ etc), then you’re going to struggle to generate traffic, and ultimately sales!
